THE Fraser James Partnership 2016 Gala Open took place at the weekend.
The sun shone on the 86 players who graced Ladhope at its very best for the annual tournament.
Despite keen opposition it proved to be a family affair as both Scratch and Handicap trophies ended up in the same household.
Wullie Simpson won the Scratch event by one shot from a rather busy Greenkeeper Colin Finlay with a 69.
It was even tighter in the Handicap section where Alexander Simpson pipped Drew Bunyan on the better inward half after both carding impressive 64s.
It should also be noted that Andy Simpson recorded the only eagle of the day at the second.
Many thanks to our sponsors for their continued support of this great event.
