GALASHIELS will gather at the Burgh Chambers this week to celebrate 2024's Braw Lad and Lass.
On Friday, April 19 Braw Lad 2023 Cory Patterson and his Lass Emma Spence hand over the reins to this year's principals.
The newly appointed Braw Lad and Braw Lass will then be joined by their Attendants and will dance the “Dashing White Sargent” with sets of children selected from every primary school in the area.
The night will then end with the Declaration Night Reception at 8.30pm in the Volunteer Hall.
The new Braw Lad and Lass will be announced from the Burgh Chambers balcony at 8pm on Friday.
