FOLLOWING two successful recruitment sessions, Scottish Borders Council (SBC) will host an additional session for staff in senior education roles.

The session is aimed at anyone looking at their next steps in their leadership journey.

Held at the Inspire Learning centre in Tweedbank on Friday, February 23, the recruitment event will give senior staff the opportunity to speak with those already in leadership roles - such as headteachers and senior managers - to learn more about what it is like being a leader with SBC's education team.

The council currently has a number of senior leadership vacancies, including headteachers at primary level and a principal education psychologist.

The local authority is keen to hear from dedicated and enthusiastic professionals looking to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking department.

Councillor Leagh Douglas, Scottish Borders Council’s executive member for education and lifelong learning, said: “Following the two recruitment sessions that we ran in September last year, we recruited several Head teacher roles, and these successful candidates are now in post.

“This is an exciting time for education in our region and I would encourage anyone who would like to be part of our vision to come along and talk to us about the range of opportunities that we have available.”
