A BORDERS Six Nations star has chosen his hometown to receive his celebratory lager tap.

In celebration of Scotland's rugby squad kicking off the second round of the Six Nations this weekend, Hawick Rugby Club will be home to ex-player Darcy Graham's Tennent's Lager tap.

Graham says it is 'surreal' to see his face on his own lager tap.

He said: “To see my face on a Tennent’s tap in Hawick Rugby Club is very surreal and special.

"I can't wait to see the reaction from my family and friends.

"This is always a special time of year and I hope the fans enjoy a pint of the good stuff while cheering on the boys in the championship.”

Graham's tap is one of four which can be found across Scotland.

The other Tournament Taps include:

Blair Kinghorn’s Tournament Tap can be found at Currie Rugby Football Club, Balerno

Matt & Zander Fagerson’s Tournament Tap can be found at Market Bar, Dundee

Richie Gray’s Tournament Tap can be found at Bag O’Nails, Glasgow

Hawick Rugby Club holds a "special place" in Graham's heart as it is where he played during the early stages of his career.

Tennent's has bee a long-standing supporter of Scottish Rugby, and has championed men and women’s rugby at international, national and grassroots levels.

Hazel Alexander, senior brand manager at Tennent’s, said: “It feels only right to show support for our Scottish Rugby team ahead of the Six Nations by spotlighting some of the players' favourite locals.

"We know this will bring a smile to the team ahead of what is set to be a challenging few weeks.

“We hope Tennent’s fans will enjoy hunting for these special limited-edition taps, and join us in raising a pint to the Scottish team as they make us proud at this year’s Six Nations.”

Round two of the Six Nations will kick off tomorrow (Saturday, February 10) with Scotland vs France at Murrayfield.
