BORDERS Hearing Care on Channel Street Galashiels are showing a selection of some of the amazing art squares made during workshops with Claire Beattie a Borders based Artist.

All the work has been created by children and families in Galashiels on market day workshop drop ins and in specialist sessions with The Woods class at Galashiels Academy.

They’ve been using UV light and colourful art materials to respond to and explore ideas of light as winter approaches. Four big pixel boards of small square artworks are the result of everyone’s collaborations.

There are also lots of art materials at a creating station for anyone to drop by and create some more wee art tiles - come along get creative and post your art.

These arts activities are part of Transform Arts CIC’s Art'n About in Gala community arts programme funded by Energise Galashiels Trust (EGT) as part of their vibrant Gala project.

EGT just won the ‘Scotland Loves Local’, Creative Community award, for its Vibrant Gala project, supported by South of Scotland Enterprise and Scottish Borders Council.
